Abstract

This study reviews the application of social network theory to behavioural ecology by providing an up to date summary of it's applications and analysis techniques thus far and suggesting future directions for the field. Following the review, will be an investigation into chacma baboon troop structure using social network analysis. This study looks at the importance of attributes in structuring the troop, and specifically whether attributes can be used to predict aspects of an individual's social environment.
